The Backrooms game is based on urban legends about the other world that exists next to our reality – the Backstage. But in this world there is nothing but endless corridors and rooms with eerie yellow wallpaper, old carpets and buzzing fluorescent lamps. Each room looks like a mirror copy of the previous one. Getting lost in this place is easy, but getting out is very difficult.

What does backstage look like

You yourself do not understand how you got to Behind the Scenes. Maybe you fell asleep and you are having a nightmare, or you just thought about it and opened the wrong door. But now you are here. In this creepy atmosphere of yellow wallpaper and hopelessness. The whole space around you is six million square miles of identical spaces. Empty rooms seem like a trap, and they really are. But this is not the worst. The problem is that you are not alone in this world. As soon as you crossed the threshold of Backstage, its inhabitants found out about you. No matter how quietly you walk, they hear you. And they really want to meet you.

How to play The Backrooms

To complete the game, you need to overcome the maze and find a way out of the backstage. This will be very difficult to do. After all, the transitions between locations are not always linear and rational. You can move around the zero floor, and in a moment you will find yourself on the cell. The search for a way out is complicated not only by the confusion of corridors, but by the monsters surrounding you. They smell you and follow you around. If you hear a rustle in the next room, run. After all, this disturbing rustling means that the monster got too close.
